![]() If anyone else knows of good files or experiences getting F-106's into Flight Sim I figured this would be a good post thread for it. Ive also been playing with putting Navy P-3s, T-33s, SAC bombers out there on waypoint circuits and going after them in FSX. ![]() The Bear up there was just such a file from. Using the mission editor and waypoints you could make targets out of pretty much any flyable aircraft out there for FSX. ![]() Hosts many freeware files including T-33s, repaints for the Virtavia F-106. Virtavia Freeware Site - FSX Mission Editor /FSX/index.php Here is a list of resources I have found useful: I have not tried it but Virtavia also has a freeware F-106 (a previous version for Flight Sim 9) and a freeware Voodoo. Not enough for air combat mind you, but good for following intruders down the simulated coast. Using the demo version of the FS Mission Editor tool other computer controlled aircraft can be inserted flying waypoints in the simulator. I have no personal frame of reference to speak to the flight model accuracy but I have been able to get this Flight Simulator model past Mach 2 in the 40-45k altitude range. ![]() It is on sale from time to time on various Flight Sim website stores. I searched threads and see it has had some exposure here via the Cold Tension video from youtube that went around a few years back. For a time I have been using Virtavia (formerly Alphasim's) F-106 addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator. ![]()
